Picture two small businesses, an ocean apart. But from a bird's eye, they're identical. Both are categorized as amusement and recreation services not elsewhere classified. Both have exactly eleven employees, make a little more than six hundred thousand dollars a year, and open in twenty nineteen. The perfect time to start a brick and mortar business, obviously. From the ground, however, they're quite different. One advertises the chance to infiltrate doctor Hodgson's lab to recover a mind altering serum before it's auctioned off to an evil villain. The other is a pilates studio. This is just one of the fifty thousand Euclidean comparisons I found using Count's agent. Together, we explored a dataset containing every single business registered in London and New York City. Of the one hundred and sixty one businesses registered as, again, amusement and recreation services not elsewhere classified, London's Escape Entertainment and NYC Pilates are the most alike. The goal of this exercise, determine New York City's business twin in London based on things like revenues, employees, and founding year. And here's what we got. A handful of companies like Verizon were listed as having revenues in the quadrillions. Huge if true, but it's obviously not. It's faulty data and good thing because the AI flagged this. We corrected this course and went with medians over averages. From there, I asked the agent to calculate directional difference between business categories where negative values indicate higher revenues in London and positive values are higher in New York City. Turns out if you're wanting to make some money opening a hotel, an ad agency, or restaurant, do this in London. Gotta think it's because of tourism. Can't think of another good reason. But if you're thinking about opening a bank or a nonprofit or some sort of professional service, you're better off registering in New York City. And of course, you're someone who's considering starting a bank. Who doesn't think to themselves, I just wanna leave it all behind and pursue my real dream of opening a bank. These two small ad agencies were founded in twenty ten and do about one point four million dollars in revenue. The London based Running Man two is more of an agency for other ad agencies. They are contracted to develop scripts and sketches and and to create animatics and things like that. I knew you wouldn't let me down. Oh, no. We love potatoes. Their New York City doppelganger is You Interview, a company that takes celebrity gossip videos and bolts an ad onto the start and sells it. There are plenty of fists that have been thrown. There And verbal fists. I remember. Surely there are a few dozen more interesting tidbits in this data, but I will leave that to you to explore. Try count today.
